Under a new, joint product agreement, Pfizer will supply Sildenafil to Glamorgan hospitals for patients, who are considered as being at low risk for the development of PPA, as well as those with underlying cardiovascular diseases, to be treated in a hospital.
Sildenafil will be available on prescription only and is not available on the NHS. Sildenafil will only be available to men between the ages of 18 and 64 years. Sildenafil has been approved in the UK for treatment of erectile dysfunction and is the only medicine for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
